Class In A Bag
The Class In A Bag concept was developed based on the observed need for class projects that provide easy to understand instructions for learning progressively more complex techniques. Each student kit includes everything a student will need for the project with the exception of the basics. The kit includes a detailed Student Handout, yarn and hard to find knitting accessories and comes packaged in a handy vinyl carrying case.
The projects shown above are designed for knitters "just beyond beginner". Knitability avoids using traditional skill levels as experince has shown than different knitters learn at different rates. Instead, each class lists the skills required and the skills covered allowing each knitter to self-assess their readiness for the project.
Skills covered vary by project starting with learning to purl on the Sample Stitch Purse, followed by working with double pointed needles on either the Oven Mitt or the Felted Slipper Socks. Next begin expanding your knitting techinques with an Introduction to Entrelac pouch or the All About Cables cable knit bag. When you are ready for more advanced techniques, try some of our other knit kits.
