The Fitted Sleeve
Sleeves, and more specifically, sleeve caps are often the last great challenge for a new designer. However, a sleeve cap that fits into an armhole isn't magic or luck, it is just simple math. Learn the calculations that lead to a sleeve cap that fits every time. In addition, gain insight into recognizing when a published pattern's sleeve may cause a problem and steps for fixing it.
Homework swatch, calculation and measurements, print out of the class handout, calculator and pencil or pen. Complete the measurement sheet included with your handout.
6" x 6" swatch in the yarn and stitch pattern of your choice laundered as you would a garment made from the swatch fabric. Calculate the stitches and rows per inch.
