The Fitted Sleeve

Description: Sleeves, and more specifically, sleeve caps are often the last great challenge for a new designer. However, a sleeve cap that fits into an armhole isn't magic or luck, it is just simple math. Learn the calculations that lead to a sleeve cap that fits every time. In addition, gain insight into recognizing when a published pattern's sleeve may cause a problem and steps for fixing it.
Supplies: Homework swatch, calculation and measurements, print out of the class handout, calculator and pencil or pen. Complete the measurement sheet included with your handout.
Homework: 6" x 6" swatch in the yarn and stitch pattern of your choice laundered as you would a garment made from the swatch fabric. Calculate the stitches and rows per inch.
Duration: 2 hours per session - 1 session
