The Perfect Gauge

Description: Do you ever wonder why gauge is talked about by so many knitters? Does it REALLY matter anyway? Can you never seem to get the same gauge measurement twice? These and many questions will be answered in the online class focusing on understanding and calculating gauge. Learn tricks for counting row and stitches particularly in "difficult" fabrics. Gauge only matters if you want something to fit -- so learn the first step to a garment that fits.
Supplies: Homework swatches, print out of the handout, ruler, pencil or pen and calculator.
Homework: Create two identical 6" x 6" swatches in the yarn and stitch pattern of your choice. Launder one swatch in the manner you would launder a garment made in the same fabric.
Duration: 2 hours per session - 1 session
