Cable Creation

Description:	Cables can be simple or complex but how are those fabulous textures created? Learn the path for creating cable patterns that reflect your own design sensibility or provide the perfect detail. Students will gain an understanding if the basic elements of a cable, create a cable of their own design and begin working up a swatch of their design. Familiarity with charts and cable knitting is a must.
Supplies:	Graph paper, pencil, eraser, a least one resource of a variety of cable designs (stitch dictionary), 1 oz of smooth DK or worsted weight yarn, needles appropriate to yarn selection, cable needle.
