Lets Go Cruising with Gwen
2008 is going to be a fabulous year to go cruising! How do I know? Because I am going to hosting a cruise for needlearts teachers. Come join us and bring your friend, spouse or significant other!
Knitability Teacher's Cruise
For years now, Knitability has been hosting weekend retreats for knitting instructors. These have been fun opportunities for knitting teachers from around the country to get together to learn more about teaching and share some camaraderie. Our first retreat was offered in 2004 and held in Kansas City. The following year, the retreat was held in San Francisco. We skipped 2006, due to other commitments, but in the mean time had realized that these events should be opened up not just to knitting teachers, but ALL teachers in the needlearts and hand craft communities. The fact is, as teachers we have more in common than not! Besides, these events are focused on learning more about teaching and building our businesses, not our specific craft.
So for 2008, we decided that we should REALLY make the event a retreat and not only offer classes, but a real get-away as well. We began working with Stitchawaytours.com, and together decided that a cruise would provide the right mix of class time and relaxation. And then we found this fabulous rate for a week long cruise through the Western Caribbean from May 3 - 8.
Now that may seem a long way off, but it will be upon us before you know it. Just hop over to the Stitchawaytours.com website and fill out the necessary forms before the price goes up! Rooms are booking quickly and we don't want you to miss out on the fabulous trip and outstanding educational opportunity.
